National Service Ministry
The two years of National Service that all Singaporean and Singapore PR boys serve, must count as one of their most challenging life experiences. Overnight, young men are thrust into a totally different world, a world that could make or break them. NS can strengthen our young men mentally and physically with discipline, training and exercise. NS can also weaken our young men as they enter an environment where drinking, smoking and cursing are common place. Our National Service Ministry leaders have served the country and have grown stronger and better for it. Their aim is to mentor and guide young NSFs during this challenging phase in their lives, to build them up and to help them honour the Lord even as they defend our Singapore.
