Yee and and his wife, Mary Yee started Lifelink as a care centre under an Assembly of God church in the mid 90s. In the year 2000 Lifelink was officially registered with the Registry of Society and assumed the name Lifelink Christian Church. Samuel, Mary and their 2 daughters had experienced various denominational backgrounds. Samuel and Mary were in a brethren church for more than 10 years. It was also the church where they got married. The family later became members of a baptist church and then an assembly of God church. Samuel resigned from his job as a Sales Manager and went into full-time ministry in 1989 at the age of 38. After graduating from Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology degree and upon ordination as a minister of God, he began pastoring a congregation in an Anglican church. Samuel and Mary felt the call of the Lord in the mid 90s to plant a church. By faith they trusted the Lord and planted Lifelink Christian Church with the help of the Holy Spirit and the support of their daughters, Rachel and Sarah.
